Creating Liuqin Opera Music and Performance Teaching Guidebook for Linyi University, Shandong Province, China

The purpose of this study is to: (1) Conduct research on Liuqin Opera music and performance in Linyi; (2) Compile a Liuqin Opera music and performance instruction manual; (3) Use the Liuqin Opera music and performance instruction manual to teach students; (4) Use the instruction manual to conduct teaching evaluation.
This study adopts a mixed research method that combines qualitative research and quantitative research. Students who are not majoring in Liuqin Opera at Linyi University are selected as teaching experimental subjects. The purpose of the study is to learn the teaching methods and strategies of Liuqin Opera music and performance through interviews with key informants, and to compile a guidebook for students who are not majoring in Liuqin Opera. The researcher interviewed three key informants using the interview method, compiled a Liuqin Opera music and performance guide, and used the guidebook to conduct teaching experiments on students. During the research process, the researcher used the interview method to interview key informants; used the observation method to observe the students before and after the experiment to verify their learning outcomes; and used the analytical method to analyze the data of formative tests, summative tests, and performance tests on the experimental subjects to verify the effectiveness of the guidebook.
Research results: (1) Through interviews with key informants of Liuqin Opera, we selected students who are not majoring in Liuqin Opera to learn Liuqin Opera. The teaching of Liuqin Opera should focus on the combination of music and performance, and formulate basic to advanced teaching strategies according to the characteristics of the student group. (2) After the guide book was completed, three key informants were invited to evaluate it. The final evaluation result was 0.84. The three key informants believed that the content of the guide book was suitable for students who were not majoring in Liuqin Opera to learn Liuqin Opera, and the knowledge was comprehensive, feasible and generalizable. (3) Through the development trend of the scores of three formative tests and the final summative test scores, it was shown that the use of the guide book has a good guiding role in improving students' Liuqin Opera music and performance abilities. (4) This guide book is written in the hope that the teaching guidance methods and strategies can help students who are learning Liuqin Opera, continuously update and improve the content and form of this guide book, actively expand channels for cooperation and communication, and firmly believe that the traditional art of Liuqin Opera can be actively inherited and widely promoted, so that it can be more prosperous.
