Abstract

The objectives of this research were: 1) to design Natayaleela Dvaravati dance-based exercise activities to promote wellness tourism in Nakhon Pathom communities, and 2) to evaluate experiential satisfaction and wellness outcomes from testing the Natayaleela Dvaravati dance activities in Nakhon Pathom communities. This mixed-methods research employed both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Qualitative data was collected through focus group discussions with 16 purposively selected wellness tourism stakeholders. Quantitative data was gathered through questionnaires administered to 400 tourists, with the sample size determined using Cochran's technique. Content analysis was used for qualitative data, while descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were utilized for quantitative analysis.
The findings revealed that: 1) eleven exercise postures were successfully designed, emphasizing stretching and flexibility through graceful movements that promote breathing control, meditation, relaxation, and social enjoyment through rhythmic group exercise, particularly suitable for seniors and health-conscious individuals; 2) the evaluation of experiential satisfaction and wellness outcomes from testing the Natayaleela Dvaravati dance activities showed high overall satisfaction levels.
