Abstract

This study aimed to 1) develop the "Buddy Care" system for primary healthcare services in Tha Chang District, Sing Buri Province, 2) evaluate its efficiency, user satisfaction, and impacts on healthcare personnel, and 3) explore user perspectives, challenges, and recommendations for system improvement. Data were collected from 200 chronic patients and elderly individuals, as well as 8 primary healthcare personnel, using questionnaires and in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed using mean statistics and content analysis.
The findings revealed that the "Buddy Care" system improved healthcare efficiency through key functions such as home visits, telemedicine, and real-time data management. These features enhanced healthcare coverage and bridged gaps between hospitals and communities. Users expressed a high level of satisfaction, and healthcare personnel reported that the system reduced paperwork, accelerated data management, and improved team coordination. However, challenges were identified during the initial implementation, including increased workload, system complexity, and technical limitations.
This study recommends enhancing the system's stability and user-friendliness, increasing technical support, and improving training programs. These measures would boost system performance and better meet the needs of patients and users over the long term.
