Abstract

         The introduction of Chinese opera to Thailand represents a significant chapter in the country's cultural history, marking the commencement of a transformative journey that has left a lasting impact on Thailand's artistic landscape. Chinese opera, with its rich heritage and vibrant performances, has not only entertained audiences but also influenced and shaped the Thai performing arts scene in profound ways. This chapter seeks to explore the evolution and adaptation of Chinese opera within the unique Thai context, exploring the changes, innovations, and fusion of artistic traditions that have emerged following its introduction to Thailand. By examining the ways in which Chinese opera has evolved and transformed in response to the Thai cultural milieu, this chapter aims to shed light on the dynamic interplay between tradition and innovation in Thailand's vibrant and diverse performing arts scene,showcasing the enduring legacy of traditional music culture and the fusion of Chinese opera within Thailand's vibrant cultural tapestry.
          Research has shown that Chinese opera has evolved with changes in Thailand's cultural environment, revealing the dynamic interaction between tradition and innovation in Thailand's dynamic and diverse performing arts field, showcasing the enduring heritage of traditional music culture and the integration of Chinese opera in Thailand's vibrant cultural tapestry. This has a positive guiding role in the appreciation of cross-cultural art in a multicultural society. In future related research, it is recommended to combine more cross-cultural comparisons to enrich the longitudinal adaptability research on cultural integration, while focusing on the audience under 30 years old and related educational outreach, evaluating the effectiveness and continuity of the younger generation's appreciation and integration of traditional art, which is important for the protection and inheritance of traditional culture in a multicultural society.
