Abstract
The Development of History Competency-Based Curriculum Secondary Level arose due to curriculum problems in teaching history in the past which could not meet the needs of learners who could not apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes gained from studying history to their work and daily lives. Therefore, the researcher developed a competency-based history curriculum as a pilot curriculum for educational institutions and teachers to develop competencies for learners. The developed competency-based history curriculum was approved and evaluated by experts in the fields of history, curriculum and instruction at higher education and fundamental education.
From conducting research, the competency-based history curriculum in Grades 7 to 12 is designed and developed which is consistent with the learning standards and indicators in the Basic Education Core Curriculum B.E. 2008 and the edited core curriculum 2017. The research results in general, experts agree that it is of high quality.
