Acceptance Model of Organizational Administration for Supporting the Expansion of the Digital Economy in National Telecom Public Company Limited

Abstract

         The objectives of this research were: (1) To analyze the  components of the acceptability patterns of  the organizational administration of the TOT Public Company Limited; and (2) To determine  the causal relationships of the components influencing the acceptability patterns  of the organizational administration of the TOT Public Company Limited to accommodate the emerging digital economy. The research was mixed methodology (quantitative and qualitative research). With respect the quantitative research, the sample comprised of 400 private employees working for TOT Public Company Limited. The research instrument was a set of self- administered questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed by descriptive statistics and the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). In regard to the qualitative research, the required qualitative data were obtained from documents, participant observations, and in-depth interviews with 8 key informants. The key informants, the executives of the company, were obtained by purposive sampling method for the in-depth interview. The research instrument was a semi-structured interview guide; all the qualitative data derived from all sources were analyzed by dint of analytical interpretation.


The research findings revealed as follows: (1) The statistical values of the components of the acceptability patterns of the organizational administration (internal environment, external environment, supporting condition factors, and acceptability factors) were consistent with the empirical data and the evaluation criteria; (2) Having checked  the magnitude of various kinds of influence, the researcher  discovered the following: The factor having the most, direct  influence on the acceptability patterns of the  organizational administration was the supporting condition factors, followed by the internal factors. In addition, it was found that the internal factors had indirect influence on the acceptability patterns of the organizational administration by way of supporting condition factors with the statistical  significance  of 0.001 level. As a whole, the acceptability patterns  of organizational  administration to accommodate  the emerging  digital economy received the  influence  of all  factors  totaling 0.779 with the  statistical significance of 0.001. Finally, it was found that the data derived from the in-depth interview with the 8 key informants were in large measure consistent with the findings obtained from the quantitative research.
