Abstract

          This dissertation aimed to: 1) study the current state of participation in the management of worship of Phra Buddhasaiyas Non Muang, Chum Phae Subdistrict, Chum Phae District, Khon Kaen Province; 2) investigate the models of participation in this management; and 3) propose models for participation in the management of this worship practice. The study employed qualitative research methodologies including purpose-oriented interviews with 25 key informants and employed data analysis techniques that contextualize narrative descriptions.
          The research results were as follows:
          Participation in organizing the worship of Phra Buddhasaiyas Non-Muang, Chum Phae Subdistrict, Chum Phae District, Khon Kaen Province includes (1) participation from all sectors, including the sub-district headman, village headman, villagers' committee, abbot, and related agencies; (2) appointment of committee members to manage various departments with clear responsibilities; (3) participation in forming committees to prepare and summarize income and expense accounts; (4) participation in summarizing and evaluating results, with meetings held to explain income and expenses.
         The models of participation in organizing the worship of Phra Buddhasaiyas Non-Muang, Chum Phae Subdistrict, Chum Phae District, Khon Kaen Province include (1) community activities involving homes, temples, and government officials; (2) planning of worship management; (3) volunteer activities for community development; (4) evaluation of management.
           Proposed model for participation in organizing the worship of Phra Buddhasaiyas Non-Muang, Chum Phae Subdistrict, Chum Phae District, Khon Kaen Province: providing opportunities for the community to participate in gaining awareness, learning, and understanding the operations; appointing committees to manage departments, assigning responsibilities for each area, and participating in the evaluation of management results and clarification of income and expenses.
