Level of Participation in Community Forest Management Ban Nong Bua, Ba Khang Subdistrict, Don Tan District, Mukdahan Province

Abstract

          The purpose of this research paper is to study level of participation in community forest management. Ban Nong Bua, Ban Kaeng Subdistrict, Don Tan District, Mukdahan Province The research instruments used are a 5-level estimation scale questionnaire and an open-ended questionnaire. The sample used in this research was the number of people involved in community forest management. 90 people Data analysis using ready-made computer software Statistics used to analyze data include percentages, averages, and standard deviations.
          The results of the research showed that participation in community forest management Ban Nong Bua, Ban Kaeng Subdistrict, Don Tan District, Mukdahan Province Overall, participation was good (  =3.81, S.D. = 0.68) In descending order, the cultural aspects of the community were found to be very good (  = 4.34, S.D. = 0.77) followed by cooperation among the people in the community at good level (  = 4.07, S.D. = 0.74) participation promotion at good level (  = 4.07, S.D. = 0.73) information acquisition at moderate level (  = 3.34, S.D. = 0.80) and external support moderate (  = 3.32, S.D. = 0.83). Participation in forest management in Ban Nong Bua community is good. Because the people of Ban Nong Bua jointly planted forests with relevant agencies such as Phu Pha Toeb National Park and distributed trees to villagers to plant in the community forest to make the forest thicker.
