The Digital Leadership of Administrators Affecting Functional Competency of Teachers in Schools under the Office of Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area 1

Abstract

          The results of the environmental analysis showed that weaknesses such as quality of education, basic national test results, some subjects have not achieved the required goals. Technology is changing rapidly, it may affect teaching and learning. The objectives of this research were to study 1) the digital leadership of administrators, 2) functional competency of teachers in schools, 3) the relationship between the digital leadership of administrators and functional competency of teachers in schools, and 4) variables predicting digital leadership of administrators affecting functional competency of teachers in schools under the Office of Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area 1. This research was predictive research or correlational research. The sample group consisted of 329 school administrators and teachers. The statistics used for analyzing data comprised frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson product moment correlationand Stepwise multiple regression analysis.
           The research results were found that 1) the digital leadership of administrators,in overall, was rated at a high level, 2) the functional competency of teachers in schoolsin overall, was rated at a high level, 3) the correlation coefficient for the digital leadership of administrators and functional competency of teachers in schools,in overall, was rated at a high level and 4) variables predicting digital leadership of administrators affecting functional competency of teachers in schoolswere found that:There were tested 5 variables there were tested 5 variables had statistically significant relationship at .01 level ranked as follows: the aspect of ethics in using digital technology,the support of teaching and learning by using digital technology,the support ofusing digital technology in evaluation, the support of using digital technology in administration and leadership and vision in digital technology with prediction coefficient of 79.40 %.
