The Creation of Elderlies Network for Solving Problems on Living of the Elderlies in Kalasin province

Abstract

          This study aimed to 1) to study the current situation and the need of elderly person problems in Kalasin provience 2) to construct the problem solving model for elderly problem solving in Kalasin province 3) to evaluate the problem solving model. It was the qualitative research. Tools used were The in-depth interviews, the focus group record form. The sample consisted 1,371 of the elderly people living in Kalasin province, the community leaders, the folk wisdom leaders, the abbots, the principles and the head of health center using simple random sampling and the purposive sampling for experiment model. The MEAN (X) ( was adopted for analyzation.   
          The results showed that 1) the situation of the elderly problems in Kalasin tended to have a serious problem in the next 5-10 years. The elderly were the burden of dependency was increasing at a rate of 16%. It was divided into 4 areas: the social problems, health problems, economic problems and education problems. 2) The problem solving model for elderly problem solving in Kalasin province consisted of 4 main factors, which include Allocation(A), Development(D), Maintenance(M) and Application(A) by focusing the mind and wisdom. It was the pillar of the community issues that local wisdom for communities. 3) The evaluation of such model found that the model constructed could be used to solve the problems of the elderly in Kalasin province effectively.
