The Development of Learning Activity Through Vlog Project to Enhance Chinese Speaking Skill for Grade 9 Students

Abstract

           The purposes of this research were: 1) to construct and assess the efficiency of learning activity through Vlog Project at the level of 80/80 2) to study the outcome of using the learning activity through Vlog Project 2.1) to compare the Chinese Speaking Skill before and after using the learning activity 2.2) to compare the Vlog Making Ability by using the learning activity to reach a 80 percent criterion 2.3) to study the result of learning activity through Vlog Project. The study followed a research and development process in two steps: 1) Constructing and assessing the effectiveness of the learning activity. The activity was certified by five experts and tried out with students to assess the efficiency 2) Studying the outcomes of learning activity. The sample group consisted of 22 grade 9 students. The tools applied in the research include 1) The learning activity 2) Speaking skill test 3) Vlog making ability assessment            4) field note. The data were analyzed by mean, standard deviation, effectiveness equal ( / ),   t-test dependent and t-test one sample. The result of the study revealed that: 1) the learning activity had five steps were as follow; 1) Conceptualizing 2) Brainstorming 3) Articulation        4) Monitoring 5) Evaluating. The learning activity had appropriate quality with highest level and was found to be efficient at the percentage level of 79.58/80.56 2) result of using the learning activity through Vlog Project 2.1) Chinese speaking skill in the posttest were higher than the pretest with statistic level of .05 2.2) Vlog making ability were significantly higher than the 80% criterion 2.3) Student can speak Chinese more correctly and fluently with obvious improvement of task completion, delivery and language use.
