The Opinions of the Department of Health Officer towards Using the Phone Book Application

Abstract

          This research is a quantitative research aimed to 1) study the opinions of Department of Health officials on the use of 2) compare the opinions of Department of Health officials on the use of the phone book application classified by personal factors; 3) study the relationship between the behavior of using the phone book application and their opinions on the use of the phone book application by Department of Health officers.  Population is officers of the Department of Health under the Ministry of Public Health, 3,216 people. The sample used in the study was 356 Department of Health officers who were calculated from Taro Yamane's formula. The data were collected by questionnaire, and the statistical analyses were percentage, mean, frequency, standard deviation, t-test, One-Way ANOVA, and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. The level of statistical significance was set at .05.
          The results of the research found  1) Opinions of Department of Health officials on the use of the phonebook application at a high level  2) Comparison of the opinions of Department of Health officials on the use of telephone directory applications classified by personal factors, ie different income, gender, age and education level were not different and 3) There was no relationship between phonebook application usage behavior and the opinions of Department of Health officials on using the phonebook application. Therefore, Department of Health administrators should establish a policy for personnel to use the phonebook application for convenience and speed in their operations.
