Lilit Phra Lor : The Existence, Inheritance and Perception of Youth in the Northern Region

Abstract

          This research was a qualitative research with the objectives 1) to explore the perception of Lilit Pra Lor literature among youth in the North and 2) to study the inheritance and existence of the literature entitled Lilit Phra Lor in the northern region. The tool used is semi-structured interview and focus group. The sample group is youth, those involved. and local people obtained by random sampling and presenting the research results in a descriptive analytical.
          The results showed that;
          1) From the survey of youth in the Northern Chet Lilit Pra Lor literature, it was found that youth in the North perceived and understood Lilit Pra Lor literature very little. Knowing only certain things and cannot tell the whole story youth in the northern region Most of them have heard the legend of Phra Lor from local sages. and know the literature about Lilit Phra Lor from teachers who teach Thai language And most of them have never read the literature about Lilit Pra Lor.
          2) From the study of the succession and existence of the literature on Lilit Phra Lor in the northern region, it was found that the literature on Lilit Phra Lor has been inherited and existed in the form of legends and in Thai textbooks that bring paragraphs. Gold in this literature only comes to teach prosody. According to interviews with Thai teachers, teachers, people in the community and youth in the northern region, it was found that everyone wanted to have the teaching and learning of Lilit Pra Lor literature. and the legend of Phra Lor Because it is interesting and believes that it is a true story. who want to learn through teaching materials in the form of video media because it makes it easy to understand the story and not boring
