Health System and Service Experience of Prisoners at Yasothon Provincial Prison

Abstract

          Research "Health system and service experience of inmates Yasothon Provincial prison." The research aims were to study the primary health service system for inmates in Yasothon Provincial Prisons and establish guidelines for health services for inmates in Yasothon prison. The research used a qualitative research study. The collected data was from a sample of prisoners and priso staff at Yasothon Provincial prisons. The study used in-depth interviews, observations among network personnel, and group discussions.
          The study found that the primary health service system for inmates in prison consists of six aspects: nursing, promotion, and prevention of mental health promotion rehabilitation. On the forward side, to maintain authentication problems and obstacles encountered, prisoners have many oral health problems receiving network services. They receive two general health services per year. Prisoners must have adequate health services and health literacy. Guidelines for the provision of services within the prison in Yasothon province suggested that the service model must be adjusted by adopting the theory of management as a model for the organization of the service system.

In conclusion, the World Health Organization conceptual framework analysis helps to investigate gaps in the provision of services that develop health services for prisoners to meet the required prison health standards. The standardized factors were; 1 service aspects, 2 health workforce 3, information and technology 4, medical technology 5, medical expenses and leadership and good governance. The prison must establish guidelines and evaluate additional policies. Furthermore, cooperation of service networks should be implemented essential for development.
