The Development of Logistics Management System by GIS for Eat Thai Visit Thai in Chon Buri Province

Abstract

          The objective of this research is to develop of logistics management system by geographic information system for Eat Thai Visit Thai in Chon Buri Province. This is a qualitative research. The development is divided into 2 steps: 1) Documentary Research and 2) In-depth Interview. The research tool was a semi-structured interview. The sample groups were 1) tourist groups, 2) entrepreneurs groups, and 3) community leaders. A total of 112 participants were selected by purposive sampling, interviews with a sample group about the components of logistics management and geographic information system. Then, the data collected from documents and interview forms were used for content analysis for the development of lifestyle tourism by applying geographic information technology. The results of the study showed that Tourism behavior of tourists towards the components of logistics management for tourism in Chon Buri Province which consists of 7 aspects, namely 1) physical 2) information 3) finance 4) tourism personnel 5) tourism products and services    6) location and 7) attraction. In terms of information, it received the most mentions from tourists. But for entrepreneurs should be guided. Develop and improve logistics management, which requires cooperation from the community and community leaders.
