The Model for the Administration of Vocational Education in Agriculture to Create Young Smart Farmers of Vocational Education Institute of Agriculture under Office of the Vocational Education Commission

Abstract

          The purposes this research were 1) to study the condition and the guidelines for the administration of vocational education in agriculture to create young smart farmers of Vocational Education Institute of Agriculture, 2) to set and try out the model for the administration of vocational education in agriculture to create young smart farmers of Vocational Education Institute of Agriculture, 3) to evaluation the model and set the proposed policy for the administration of vocational education in agriculture to create young smart farmers. The sample consisted of 434 school administratorห and teachers, and 272 farmers and entrepreneurs. Data were collected by questionnaires, interview forms, and focus group discussions. The data were analyzed using percentage, means, standard deviation and content analysis. The research findings were as follows: (1) In general, the conditions for the administration of vocational education in agriculture to create young smart farmers was at the moderate level. There is a management approach which is to set goals, committees, processes and qualifications or quality of young smart farmers. (2) The model for the administration of vocational education in agriculture to create young smart farmers of Vocational Education Institute of Agriculture consisted of 4 main principles as follows: 1) the goals, 2) the committee, 3) the process for the administration and 4) the quality of young smart farmers. After trying out the model it was found that the opinion towards the model was at the high level. Beside, the farmers’ satisfactions towards the operation through the model was at the highest level and the amounts of successful young smart farmers were increasing. (3) The evaluation of the model for the administration of vocational education in agriculture to create young smart farmers were as follows: Overall, the average is at a high level. It is possibility and utility.
