The Developing Academic Achievement of Mathayom Suksa 4 Students on Function Using The 4 MAT Learning Method

Abstract

          The objective of this research is 1) Developing academic achievement of Mathayom Suksa 4 students on function using the 4 MAT learning method to be effective according to the 80/80 criteria, 2) compared their mathematical performances on function using the 4 MAT system before and after studying, and 3) studied their satisfaction levels of the activities using the 4 MAT System, it is an experimental research in the classroom. The research participants included a random sampling of 27 students in secondary class 4/2 who studied in the second semester of the academic year 2019 at Triamudomsuksa Suwinthawong School under the Office of Secondary Education Service Area 2. There were activities on function for the students based on the 4 MAT system, composed of seven plans. Moreover, an achievement test and satisfaction level questionnaire were also adopted. The statistics used included the arithmetic mean, the standard deviation, and the dependent t-test. The research results revealed that 1) the activities on function conducted among the secondary school level 10 using the 4 MAT system yielded efficiency according to the standard criteria of 80/80, 2) The average of mathematical achievement scores was higher after studying, and 3) a statistical significance of 0.05 and the overall satisfaction level was ranked extremely high, with the average of 4.81.
