Using a Project-Based Teaching Method to Develop Writing Skills of Matthayom 5 Students

Abstract

          This research is experimental research. The objectives were (1) to study the achievement of students' writing skills in English subjects, and (2) to study the attitudes of students towards the project-based teaching and learning management.  The population of this research was eleventh grade students at Sirirattanathorn School. The samples of the research consisted of 84 students from Science – Mathematic and English – Mathematic programs selected by purposive sampling during their second semester in the 2021 academic year. The instruments used for collecting data in this research were a lesson plan, an English writing rubric, and a questionnaire. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics: mean and standard deviation.
          The findings were as follows: (1) the students learning English writing through the Project-Based Learning method had learning achievement at the high level, and (2) the students’ attitudes towards the Project-Based Learning method were at the positive levels across the selected aspects.
