Factors Affecting Waste Separation in Krai Nok Subdistrict Area Kong Krailas District Sukhothai

Abstract

          The objectives of this study were to study the level of: 1) the factors affecting the waste separation in Krai Nok Subdistrict, 2) to study the relationship between the factors affecting the waste separation in Krai Nok Subdistrict, and 3) to study the guidelines for the promotion of the waste separation in Krai Nok Subdistrict. This research applied the Quantitative Research. The sample was 324 people from the calculation formula of Taro Yamane. The research instrument was the questionnaire. The statistics used frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient.
          Results of the Research 1. The factors affecting the waste separation in Krai Nok Subdistrict, found that 1) people having the knowledge and understanding in the waste separation was at the high level. 2) Overall, the attitude in the waste separation was at the highest level. When considering each aspect, it was found that understanding in the waste separation was at the highest level. Then, it was the feeling in the waste separation and the performance in the waste separation. 3) Overall, the behavior in the waste separation was at the high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that the waste separation was at the highest level. Then, it was transporting the waste, the waste disposal, and collecting the waste. 2. The relationship between the factors affecting the waste separation in Krai Nok Subdistrict, found that the attitude on the waste separation had the positive relationship to the behavior on the waste separation in Tha Yiem Subdistrict, Saklek District, Phichit Province at the middle level (r = 0.465) and at 0.01 of statistical significance. Therefore, the hypothesis was denied. 3.  The guidelines for the promotion of the waste separation in Krai Nok Subdistrict, were that the Subdistrict Administrative organization should provide the system of the waste separation and collection in each kind, and the communities should use the goods made from the recycled components and make the network to the Subdistrict Administrative organization for setting the center for the integrated waste separation by using the waste for  the fertilizer  and the alternative energy. Moreover, the Subdistrict Administrative organization should provide the business for buying the waste and transferring the waste to the waste processing plant.
