Guidelines for Integrating Development Plans at the District Level : A Case Study of Pho Thale District, Phichit Province

Abstract

           The objectives of this study were: 1) to study the integration of  making the participatory development plans at the District level 2) to compare the personal factors to the integration of making the participatory development plans at the District level and 3) to study the guidelines for the integration of  making the participatory development plans at the District leve This research applied the Quantitative Research with the Survey Research. The research instruments were the questionnaire. The sample of the research was 216 committees for making the development plans at the District level from the Statistical Package for the Social Science. The statistics used frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test and F-test.
          Results of the Research. 1. Overall, the integration of the participatory development plans at the District level was at the high level. 2. The comparison of the personal factors found that the committees having the different gender, age, degree of education, relation to the integration of making the development plans and period in working had no the different opinion to the integration of making the participatory development plans at the District level: A case study of Pho Thale District, Phichit Province.  Therefore, the hypothesis was denied. 3. Approaches for integrating development plans at the district level are 1) preparing knowledge and information 2) community education using the PRA process 3) analyzing the SWOT model.
