The Study of the Performance Efficiency of the Maintenance Unit, The Provincial Electricity Autrority Region 2 (Northeast Region), Ubon Ratchathani Province

Abstract

          The objectives of this research study were 1) to study administrative resources and the performance efficiency of the maintenance unit at the Provincial Electricity Authority Region 2 (Northeast Region), Ubon Ratchathani Province and 2) to study the influence of administrative resources affecting the performance efficiency of the maintenance unit at the Provincial Electricity Authority Region 2 (Northeast Region), Ubon Ratchathani Province. The sample groups used in this research were municipality and subdistrict administrative organization personnel, community leaders who involved in the operation, coordination, and public relations involving Provincial Electricity Authority employees using the Krejcie and Morgan (1970 : 45) which uses stratified sampling. The sample size was 375 people by using a questionnaire as a tool for collecting data. The statistics used to analyze the data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and multiple regression.
          The results revealed that most of the respondents were male ranging in age from 41 to 50 years old with a majority holding a bachelor's degree. Most service recipients were community leaders. The average opinion levels regarding the administrative resources held that the responsibility to duty was most important ( = 3.92, SD = 0.82) and the job follow-up as least important ( = 3.79, SD = 0.89).  When averaging opinion levels of the performance efficiency, the maximal level was held as “safety” ( = 4.10, SD = 0.77) and the minimal level was to the fairness/equality ( = 3.90, SD = 0.90). As for the hypothesis testing results, it was found that administrative resources consisted of responsibilities and duties, length of work, work control and job follow-up significantly affected the performance efficiency of the maintenance department at the Provincial Electricity Authority Region 2, (Northeast Region) Ubon Ratchathani Province at a statistical level of 0.01. Conversely, the management did not affect the performance efficiency of the operation.
