The Role of Sub-district Administration Organizations in Local Tourism Management: A Case Study of Wat Sri Mongkol Community, Nan Province

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were to (1) investigate the roles of Yom sub-district administration organization in local tourism management at Wat Sri Mongkol, Tha Wang Pha District, Nan Province, (2) explore the factors affecting the Wat Sri Mongkol community's sustainable tourism management and (3) developing a regression equation that effects the Wat Sri Mongkol community's sustainable tourism management. This research is a quantitative research. The sample groups in this study were executives and officials from the Yom sub-district administration organization, community members from Wat Sri Mongkol, and tourists, totaling 775 respondents. Data was collected by questionnaires and used simple random sampling methodology. Random sampling methodology. 
          The results showed that (1)Yom sub-district administration organization figured prominently in promoting tourism management had a high role in promoting tourism management (  = 3.77) and its role was high in all aspects.  (2) At a significance level of 0.05, the results of the analysis of the multiple regression equation found that there were 7 variables influencing sustainable tourism management: development of existing tourist attractions (SUS1), marketing and public relations (SUS2), product and product promotion (SUS3), infrastructure development (SUS4), information system development (SUS5), entrepreneur network development (SUS6), and management mechanism building and development (SUS7).  Finally, (3) by developing a regression equation in form of raw score and standard score as follows:
