Mapping of Learning Resources in Bangna District, Bangkok

Abstract

          The objectives of this qualitative research were to 1) survey and classify learning resources in Bangna district 2) analyze the learning resource standards of learning resources in Bangna district 3) create Bangna district’s learning resource map and 4) find out the problems of learning resource administration. The key informants were the head of Community Development and Social Welfare Department of Bangna district and the volunteers of learning resources, totally 9 persons, who were selected by purposive sampling. The research instruments were survey form and structured interview. Data analysis was performed by content analysis.
          The research found that 1) there were 8 places and 4 categories of learning resources in Bangna district that  composed with 3 museums; Bangkok Local Museum (Bangna district), Meteorological Learning Museum and Museum of Hydrographic Department, Royal Thai Navy, 2 community book houses; Bangna Community Housing Authority’s book house and Piroj Community’s book house, 2 sport and recreation centers; Bangna Youth Center and Phut Anan Stadium, and 1 public park; Bangnaphirom Park 2) 8 learning resources in Bangna district were up to learning resource standards that included learning area, learning content, learning process, learning manager, learners, learning materials and learning evaluation 3) there were 2 learning resources located in north-Bangna subdistrict and 6 learning resources located in south-Bangna subdistrict and 4) the problems of learning resource administration were about management resources; man, money, material and management.
