Quality of social welfare services for the elderly in MaeSot Municipality Mae Sot District Tak Province

Abstract

           The objectives were as follows: 1) to study the quality of social welfare services for the elderly; 2) to study the relationship between Sangahavatthu 4 and the quality of social welfare services for the Elderly and 3) to propose guidelines for the development of social welfare services for the elderly This was a mixed methods research consisting of the qualitative and quantitative research. The sample used in this research was the elderly aged 60 years to 360 people ​​in Yamane's formula. Data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient. Qualitative research was done by in-depth interview with key informants of 10 people  Content Analysis.
          The results showed that: 1) The overall quality of social welfare services for the elderly in Mae Sot Municipality, Mae Sot District, Tak Province according to Sangahavatthu was at a high level according to the principles of job service quality, overall, was at a high level  2) Sangahavatthu 4 had a high positive correlation with the quality of social welfare services for the elderly in Mae Sot Municipality, Mae Sot District, Tak Province. The correlation coefficient (r = 0.876) was statistically significant at 0.01 level, thus accepting the hypothesis. 3) Guidelines found that the municipality should have 3 processes to provide social services for the elderly: 1) study; 2) training; 3) develop by organizing KM knowledge management training project by integrating Sangahavatthu and service principles to train service personnel for staff.
