Respect Human Dignity in Buddhism

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) the concept of human dignity in view of modern science, 2) the concept of human dignity in Buddhism, and 3) respect for human dignity in Buddhism. It is a study using documented research methodology. study primary information and secondary data using documents, books, the results of the research found that 1) human rights principles addressed 6 fundamental human dignity: (1) the right to live (2) the right to education (3) the right Work (4) rights and liberties (5) property rights and (6) social contract rights 2) Buddhism is a guide that leads to a social reform movement to achieve liberty and justice with the ultimate goal of leading human beings. leading to liberation from suffering. 3) Buddhism has spoken about human dignity. The ultimate goal of human development is reaching liberation. and there are principles of dharma to enhance human dignity, namely: Benchasila, Benchamatham, 10 wholesome karma, and the path.
