An Analysis of Prathom Ko Kaa Thai Textbook Collections of Chao Muan Srisorarak (M.R. Chit sudasna)

Abstract

          The objective of this article was to study contents in Prathom Ko Kaa  Thai textbook by content analysis. Prathom Ko Kaa Thai Textbook of Chao Muan Srisorarak (M.R. Chit sudasna) was collected and published in Chakri Dynasty year 125 (2449 B.E.) as royal textbooks for monks. The collection of textbook was authorized by Department of Education as teaching materials provided to beginning learners in temples in general. This collection of the textbooks compiled all contents of the previous versions of the Prathom Ko Kaa and then adjusted and summarized key contents. The added contents were published within the same book. In terms of content presentation, the textbooks focused on word spelling, word forming. The textbooks were orderly composed as to ease memorization and understanding which were imperative basis for reading and writing competence.
