The Performance of Duties of the Village Committee in Pak Khat District Bueng Kan Province

Abstract

          The main objective of this research was to study the duties of village committees in Pak Khat District. Bueng Kan Province The sample used for this research was 6 village committees using the formula of 288 Taro Yamane (Yamane. 1973 : 125). This is a questionnaire about the duties of the village committee. It consists of 3 parts of content, statistics used in data analysis. The descriptive statistics were number, percentage, mean and standard deviation for the general data of the sample. The inferential statistics were T-test and F-test for comparing village committee duties. In the district of Pak Khat Bueng Kan Province Classified by gender, age, education level and occupation.
          The results of findings were as follows :The performance of duties of the village committee in Pak Khat district Bueng Kan Province Overall, it was at a high level ( = 3.85, S.D. = 0.38) and when considering each aspect, it was found that the side with the highest mean was administrative and peacekeeping ( = 4.19, S.D. = 0.36). Promote the economy ( = 4.09, S.D. = 0.43) and the side with the least mean was education. Religion and Culture ( = 3.47, S.D. = 0.80) Comparison of the duties of village committees in Pak Khat District Bueng Kan Province Classified by gender, age, education level and occupation as a whole, it was found that sex, age, educational level and occupation were not different. Recommendations for the development of duties of village committees in Pak Khat District Bueng Kan Province, concerned government agencies should provide support in the area of operational training for the community, government officials should act proactively. Expand the model for building knowledge and understanding to encourage village and community committees to participate in various operations.
