Abstract

          The objective of this research was to study lessons learned from successful management model of schools that have been awarded the National Outstanding Lunch Model School in the Lower Northern Region. The sample of this study included Ma Tong Prachasan School, Suksa Kunbut School and Ban Huai Tom School. Key informants included 1 school administrator or deputy school administrator, 2 teachers assigned to the school lunch program,  3 representatives on the school board, totaling 18 individuals. A research instrument for data collection was a structured interview and data were analyzed through content analysis.
          The results indicated that the nationally outstanding lunch model school management model in the Lower Northern Region consisted of 5 standards: 1. Management: School lunches are planned to suit the school's budget and context, develop teachers to have knowledge in lunch project management and monitor the efficiency of lunch project management. 2. Integrating learning management, organizing learning activities that are integrated with sufficiency economy philosophy, apply learning resources in accordance with the lunch program. 3. Operational aspects: it has complete student nutrition information, a place where food and dining are suitable, has clean drinking water equipment and materials according to sanitary principles. 4. Network participation: The lunch program is managed by a committee which is represented by all parties involved to plan, monitor and evaluate. 5. Productivity: It has complete nutritional information of students and ready for them to use, there is a place to cook and eat with hygienic drinking water, resulting in students and parents being satisfied with the school lunch program
