The Development of Credit Transfer System of Undergraduate Students, Northeastern University

Abstract

          The purposes of this research were: 1) to study situation and problems of the operation of credit transfer management system of undergraduate students, 2) to create and improve credit transfer management system of undergraduate students and 3) to find the quality and assess the satisfaction of credit transfer management system users of undergraduate students by using purposive sampling method. The sample group consisted of Deans, Heads/Chairpersons, Academic Officers, Finance and Budget Officers and Registrar Officers with the total number of 28 people. The tools used in this research included interview form and questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis comprised percentage, mean and standard deviation.
          The research results were found that:
          1) Regarding the study of situation and problems of the operation of credit transfer management system, the results were found that the process of the former system was unsystematic and difficult including data storage, data recording and data searching which caused delay and inaccuracy of data. 2) Regarding quality assessment by the experts after testing the system according to the system development cycle theory divided into 4 parts, namely data input, processing, visualization and data storage, it was found that, in overall, the quality was rated at the highest level. 3) Regarding the satisfaction assessment of system users divided into 3 aspects including the aspect of efficiency, operation and safety, it was found that the results of the satisfaction assessment were rated at a high level in all aspects.
