Constructing the Shanxi Folk Song Singing Analysis Guidebook for the Second Grade Students of Xiaoyi No.6 Middle School

The objectives of this study were (1) To Study the Teaching Methods of folk music in Shanxi (2) To Construct the Teaching guidebook for Shanxi folk music in the junior middle school classroom in Xiaoyi. (3) To Experiment the teaching by using the Teaching Guidebook for Shanxi folk music in the junior middle school classroom in Xiaoyi city. (4) To Evaluate the teaching by using the Teaching Guidebook for Shanxi folk music in the junior middle school classroom in Xiaoyi city. This study is a mixed method of qualitative research and quantitative research. The research tools of qualitative research are interview guide and observation form.
The research findings were the research on teaching Shanxi folk songs to middle school students revealed several key findings. First, experts emphasized the importance of understanding the cultural and historical background of Shanxi folk songs to foster students' sense of local identity and pride. They recommended interactive and experiential teaching methods to engage students and deepen their emotional connection with the songs. The construction of a teaching guidebook for Shanxi folk songs provided a structured framework, including song histories, musical features, and practice activities to enhance students' learning experience. A teaching experiment conducted in a Shanxi middle school demonstrated significant improvements in students' singing skills and cultural understanding, as well as increased interest in local culture. Finally, the evaluation of the guidebook's implementation showed a marked increase in student performance and engagement, confirming its effectiveness in enhancing both musical and cultural education.
