The Xindi Applied Piano Pedagogy (XAPP) is a piano teaching method self-formulated by Professor Xindi, the Dean of the Music Education Institute of Xinghai Conservatory of Music, in 2001. It is a holistic music educational system for the preparation of graduate music teachers. at both primary and secondary levels, and it has created a competitive force in the market of community music education in mainland China. (Guo, & Cosaitis, 2020). The XAPP is guided by the philosophy of talent cultivation, featuring "application, theories, and practice". It can be tailored to different students, allowing them to apply what they have learned and enhance their practical and innovative capabilities.
