Abstract

          Shanxi folk song is a very old traditional folk art, which mainly praises historical figures or legends. There are many kinds of folk songs in various places, and the forms of each song are more diverse.The purpose of this study are1)To study the Shanxi folk music french horn ensemble workbook with experts;2)To construct french horn ensemble workbook for teaching at Shanxi Vocational College of Art;3)To use French horn ensemble workbook for teaching at Shanxi Vocational College of Art;4)To evaluate the results of French horn ensemble workbook for teaching at Shanxi Vocational College of Art.This study adopts a mixed research method,Qualitative research: Experts were interviewed using interview research methods to observe students' learning ability, performance and acceptance before and after the experiment. Quantitative research: This study is generally the same as the sample. All of them are second-year students majoring in French number in Shanxi Art Vocational College, with a total of 8 students.
          The study found that in week 12 of the semester, eight students were given A summative test that involved having them play a piece of French horn ensemble music they had studied during the semester, which had to be formally performed in the form of a performance. The test results showed that A 3 (>85), B 4 (80-85) and C 1 (70-79). The average score was 84. Compared with the results of the previous two Formative tests, it can be seen that after one semester's study, students have made great progress in playing French horn skills, ensemble experience and mastery of Shanxi folk music style.
