บทคัดย่อ
The purposes of this research were to compare changes in students' English-speaking skills before and after using the FIF mobile app, assess the impact of combining FIF apps with the Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) method on students' learning attitudes, and examine the perceived effects of test preparation for the College English Test Band 4 (CET4) on language ability and test performance. The study utilized a quantitative research design, employing a questionnaire as the primary research instrument. A sample of 30 first-year students from Sichuan Vocational College of Health and Rehabilitation were selected through stratified random sampling and participated in an eight-week experiment. Data collection involved pre-test and post-test measurements using the CET4-SET evaluation framework. Regression analysis was applied to assess the relationship between perceived improvements in language attributes, learning attitudes, and actual CET4 performance.
The results of this research study have found that integrating the CLT method with the FIF mobile app significantly enhanced students' English-speaking skills. Approximately 50% of the participants achieved a grade of B or above in the post-test, while over 70% reported positive changes in their learning attitudes. These results suggest that the combined approach of CLT and FIF apps is effective for improving both language skills and student engagement. Future research could explore the long-term impact of such interventions and their application in diverse educational contexts.
