Research on The System of China Youth Tennis Competion: A Case Study of the Hunan Provincial Youth Tennis Championship

In recent years, Chinese tennis has made significant progress, and the runner up of Zheng Qinwen's women's singles at the 2024 Australian Open has sparked a tennis craze, demonstrating the future potential of Chinese tennis. However, the long-term development of Chinese tennis cannot be separated from a sound competition system, and the youth tennis competition system is directly related to the development of youth tennis. At present, there is still a gap between the Chinese youth tennis competition system and the international advanced level, and there is an urgent need for systematic research and optimization to promote the high-quality development of Chinese tennis.
This study adopts text measurement method, expert interview method, and questionnaire survey method, based on the actual national conditions of Chinese tennis, to deeply examine the current situation of China's youth tennis competition system from four dimensions: competition situation, competition organization, competition operation, and competition evaluation. The Total Quality Management (TQC) theory and factor analysis method are used to explore its influencing factors, including human resources, material resources, environmental resources, and management resources. Research has found that improving the supply and operation management of tennis events, strengthening regional linkage for event development, expanding the comprehensive value function of tennis events, and implementing the strategy of building a strong sports nation are key paths to optimizing the event system. This study proposes targeted suggestions and strategies to provide theoretical basis and practical guidance for the construction of China's tennis tournament system, and to assist in the high-quality development of China's tennis industry.
