This paper will adopt a qualitative research method to interview Chinese restaurants from 5 representatives in Phuket, as well as people who have lived in Thailand for more than 10 years and have a deep understanding of Thai history and Chinese food-related fields. After conducting the study through relevant in-depth interview methods, it was found that the research objectives include studying the adaptability of Chinese restaurants in Thai society and exploring the catering of Chinese restaurants in different local cultural communities. By studying these aspects, we can better understand the cultural adaptation process of Chinese restaurants in Phuket and how they attract and serve customers from different cultural backgrounds. This study helps to expand our understanding of the development of the international catering industry in tourist attractions and provide useful inspiration for related industries.
The existence of Chinese restaurants promotes the integration of different cultures. Not only Chinese tourists, but also tourists from other countries can experience unique Chinese food in Phuket. This cross-cultural food experience helps to enhance Phuket's attractiveness in the global tourism market and further promote the diversification and internationalization of its catering market. The adaptation of eating styles is not only a response to market demand, but also a promotion of cultural exchange and mutual understanding, laying the foundation for the long-term development of Chinese restaurants.
