บทคัดย่อ

     การวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างคุณลักษณะของคณะกรรมการบริษัทกับอัตราภาษีเงินได้ที่แท้จริงของบริษัทจดทะเบียนในตลาดหลักทรัพย์ย่างกุ้ง ประเทศเมียนมา ซึ่งเป็นตลาดทุนเกิดใหม่ที่ยังมีหลักฐานเชิงประจักษ์จำกัด การศึกษานี้ใช้ข้อมูลพาเนลจากบริษัทจดทะเบียนจำนวน 8 บริษัท ครอบคลุมช่วงปี พ.ศ. 2559–2567 รวมจำนวนข้อมูล 54 ปีบริษัท และวิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนาและแบบจำลองการถดถอยพหุคูณ

          ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ขนาดของคณะกรรมการบริษัทมีความสัมพันธ์เชิงลบกับอัตราภาษีเงินได้ที่แท้จริง ขณะที่กลไกการกำกับดูแลด้านอื่น ได้แก่ ขนาดคณะกรรมการตรวจสอบ ความเป็นอิสระของคณะกรรมการ การควบตำแหน่งประธานเจ้าหน้าที่บริหารและประธานกรรมการ และความถี่ในการประชุมคณะกรรมการไม่พบความสัมพันธ์กับอัตราภาษีเงินได้ที่แท้จริงของบริษัท ผลการศึกษานี้ชี้ให้เห็นว่า แม้คณะกรรมการบริษัทที่มีขนาดใหญ่กว่าอาจเอื้อให้มีความเชี่ยวชาญที่หลากหลายในการกำกับดูแลงานด้านภาษี แต่ผลกระทบในเชิงปฏิบัติของโครงสร้างการกำกับดูแลกิจการตามข้อกำหนดทางกฎหมายต่อผลลัพธ์ทางภาษียังคงมีอยู่อย่างจำกัดในตลาดทุนที่ยังอยู่ในช่วงเริ่มต้นแห่งนี้
