This article aims to describe motivations of tourists who come to Pattaya, Chonburi, for healing their health. Majority of tourists used health check-up, dental care, beauty surgery, and sex reassignment surgery services. Physical and mental rest and relaxation, rebalance of body, development of healthy-living habits, and illness prevention were among the push factors motivating them to travel to Pattaya. While the important pull motivation factors were low cost of services and talent as well as expertise of personnel in healthcare services. Therefore, Thailand should promote expertise of doctors and innovative equipment in order to differentiate from competitors. Hospitals should provide modern equipment, hygiene service, sufficient facilities, and above standard treatments. Doctors, nurses, and other staff should have health healing skills as well as service mind. Hotel service providers should have specific strategies for serving niche market by coordinating with hospitals and tour agencies to design suitable tourism packages for both before and after treatments.
