The purposes of this research were 1) to study the concept of school management
to enhance the competencies of students in schools under the jurisdiction of Catholic
Education Council of Thailand. 2) To examine the present and desired states of school
management to enhance the competencies of students in schools under the jurisdiction of
Catholic Education Council of Thailand.†3)†To develop school management strategies
to†enhance the competencies of students in schools under the jurisdiction of Catholic
Education Council of Thailand. The sample was comprised of 157 primary schools under the
jurisdiction of Catholic Education Council of Thailand. The respondents were school directors,
vice school directors, head of departments, and studentsû parents in the school administrative
committee with the total of 758 respondents. The research instruments included questionnaires,
and assessment of the strategic optimum. Statistical applications in analyzing data analysis
were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and PNImodified†for prioritization.†
The results showed that 1) the school management to enhance the competencies of
students composed of academic management, budgeting management, personnel management
and general management enhanced the seven studentsû competencies comprised†of
communication, thinking, technology, social-collaboration, learning, self-management and global
citizenship. The process of enhancing studentsû competencies contained 5 steps, which were
experience, reflection, communication, action, and evaluation. 2) The current condition of
management to enhance the competencies of students in the schools under the jurisdiction
of Catholic Education Council of Thailand were in high level (mean†4.16) while the desired
management to enhance the competencies of students in the schools under the jurisdiction
of Catholic Education Council of Thailand were in the highest level (mean†4.71). 3)†There
were four strategies to enhance the competencies of students, which were academic
management reform, personnel management reform, development of budgeting system, and
