The School Management Model to Enhance the Professional Learning Community in Classroom Action Research

Abstract

The objective of this research was to develop a school management model to enhance the professional learning community in classroom action research. Sample were 480 secondary schools. Research tools were assessment form of research framework, current conditions and desired conditions questionnaire and assessment form of feasibility. Content analysis, basic statistical analysis which were percentage, mean and standard deviation and Priority Needs analysis by using Modified Priority Needs Index (PNIModified) were used to analyse the data. The research findings were found that a flexible school management model that conforms to the culture for enhancing the professional learning community in classroom action research is the collaboration of ambiguity model and cultural model. There are seven essential components, namely 1) model name 2) principle and emphasis 3) objective of the flexible school management model that conforms to the culture for enhancing the professional learning community 4) eight model elements which are goals setting, share vision mission and goals, shared personal practice, supportive conditions, interactive structure, links with environment, style of leaders and related leadership
5) diagram of the model and its use 6) success factors and 7) benefits.
