Problems in Learning for Skipped-generation Family to Promote Child Well-being Based on the Family Ecology Framework

The study explored the problems in learning for skipped-generation family to promote child
well-being based on the family ecology framework. Mixed methodology with multiple applications was applied as a research design for the study. The researcher applies the family ecology framework in the research and conduct quantitative and qualitative research in 109 skipped-generation families located in the northeastern and central region using structured interview in-depth interview. The major purpose was to study the problems and needs in learning for skipped-generation family to promote child well-being based on the family ecology framework. The results indicated that the learning problems of skipped-generation family related to a child well-being were divided into 6 dimensions: 1) Health of grandparents in skipped-generation family 2) Economic of skipped-generation family 3) Feature of skipped-generation family 4) Family ecology Relationships in skipped-generation family 5) Social and cultural, and 6) the skipped-generation family related agencies.
