The purpose of this research was to develop Thai business oriented reading
curriculum standards for foreigners. The standards were created to outline the development of Thai business oriented reading curriculum. A survey study was conducted to investigate the needs of 15 foreign business personel and seven Thai language instructors in terms of the content of business reading and a review of literature on developing Thai business oriented reading curriculum standards for foreigners. Data collection involved a literature review, structured interview and evaluation of experts. The research findings were as follows: Thai business oriented reading curriculum standards for foreigners are a classified as levels, namely beginner, intermediate and advanced, and consist of three standards and eight indicators. Standard 1 entails the reading for data and general concepts consisting of three indicators. Standard 2 entails the reading for corporate culture, consisting of three indicators. Standard 3 entails the reading for business dealing and decision making, consisting of two indicators.
