Abstract
The aim of this study is to analyze the factors and differences of community learning for enhancing the ability in Geographical Indication Management towards social entrepreneurship. The study is a qualitative research that comprises 3 methods: 1) document research, 2) observation, and 3) structured interview. The communities selected are divided into 2 groups: each group consists of three communities, totaling 6 communities. The first group has Geographical Indication products while the second doesn’t. The communities of both groups represent three stages each: creation, protection, and enforcement stages. The key informants are residents of the community, government officials, and educators of educational institutes in the community.
The research outcome can be summarized as follows: 1) the factors towards learning communities are: 1.1) there is a difference among the agencies of each stage; 1.2) the community structures refer to the rules and resources of each stage; 1.3) the social interaction which is situated in time and space. 2) The study shows that there is a difference in community learning at each stage on the following topics: 2.1) learning contents; 2.2) learning method; and 2.3) learning resources
