Abstract
This research objective is the development of the instructional model for promoting graduate attributes on the topic of wellbeing by applying a contract system to PDCA and Education 3.0. There are two major steps taken during the entire process of the research project: 1) the development of the instructional model for promoting graduate attributes on the topic of wellbeing by applying the contract system to PDCA and Education 3.0; and 2) the experimentation of the instructional model. The researcher synthesized the elements of the instructional model by mainly focusing upon the contract system initially created by Tisana Khemmanee whilst also making the addition of the concept of PDCA and Education 3.0 to the system. Under the experiment, the developed instructional model took an entire course of 12 weeks: 4 of which comprised the period of providing knowledge; 6 of which witnessed the participatory students operating the project; 2 of which concerned the summary of the project implementation. The research population comprised students who had enrolled for the subject “2718105: The Group Process and Democracy at the Primary School Level” in the first semester of the year 2015, 25 of who, were freshmen in the Faculty of Education, Chulalongkorn University. The data collection tools and instruments being utilized upon this occasion comprised: 1) the ‘CUHI: T-Happiness’ form (Sompoch Iamsupasit et al., 2012) and possessed the reliability value of 0.791, the Cronbach’s alpha-based internal consistency value being read between .646 and .900; 2) the Summary of Self-Development Project. The researcher has utilized the CUHI: T-Happiness form prior to and after the conduct of the instruction model, analyzed the database by t-test dependent, as well as the analysis of the summary of the students’ self-development project regarding certain main points of the study.
The research results were as follows: 1) the instructional model for promoting graduate attributes on the topic of wellbeing by applying the contract system to PDCA and Education 3.0. had five basic concepts and four steps of instruction. 2) The average scores of the CUHI: T-Happiness before and after the instruction did not significantly differ. The result scores were 126-130, which means that the students were moderately happy with their lives.
