Abstract
This research aimed to develop a measurement instrument on the bodily-kinesthetic perception to indicate the sports talent of 7th grade students in sports schools. The research procedures were composed of 3 stages: (1) Conducting a content analysis and interviews for the purpose of evaluating attributes and indicators of sport talent among the 7th grade students in sports schools; (2) Focus group discussion; and (3) Studying the efficacy of the research instruments.
The research result showed that the measurement instrument for the bodily-kinesthetic perception to indicate sports talent of the 7th grade students in sports schools consisted of 5 tests: the throw-hold and kick-hold of the ball test, block sorting test, run and touch test, directionality test, and weight discrimination test. The results indicated that the average level of the appropriateness and possibility of the model by the seven experts was high before using the model for the target group (.93) and the structural validity was significant at .05 for all items. The reliability was statistically significant at .05 . In conclusion, the measurement instrument on the bodily-kinesthetic perception to indicate sports talent of 7th grade students in sports schools was efficient and practical for the instruction, and the model was able to be adopted to other level.
