Abstract

This research was aimed to study the fundamentals of evaluation criteria in creative academic works as well as to develop evaluation criteria for creative academic works for the subject of Art Education Thesisin Fine Arts. The research initiated by studying relevant information in order to determine the framework of the evaluation for the creative academic works. The framework was used in interview specialists, then analyzed and synthesized into the fundamentals of the evaluation criteria for creative academic works. The evaluation consisted of three major criteria listed as six assessments. The information was used to create an evaluation criteria via Analytic Rubrics. The quality of the academic works was divided into five levels. When the evaluation criteria was verified by specialists, it was found that the criteria and description of the attributes for the assessments had the index of item-objective congruence between 0.80-1.00. At the same time, the quality level and description of the quality levels of the creative academic works had the index of item-objective congruence of 1.00. When the evaluation criteria were used to evaluate the academic works of the students, the rater agreement index (RAI) was determined as 0.87 and alpha-coefficient (α) was determined as 0.85. From the calculations, it was concluded that the evaluation criteria for creative academic works that were developed of quality and applicable.
