Abstract
The purpose of this study were to study the effects of weight gain program using reasoned action theory of lower secondary school underweight students. The sample was 40 underweight lower secondary school students in Buddhajak Wittaya School. Divided into 2 groups with 20 students from experimental group and 20 students from control group. The research instruments were composed of weight gain program using reasoned action theory of lower secondary school underweight students and collecting data by using weight gain of lower secondary school underweight students on the knowledge and attitude test and weighing scale. The data were then analyzed by means, standard deviations and t-test by using statistical differences at .05 levels.
The research findings were as follows: 1) The mean scores of knowledge attitude on weight gain and mean of weight before and after the experiment of the experimental group students were significantly higher than before at .05 levels. The mean scores of knowledge attitude on weight gain and mean of weight before and after the experiment of the control group students were not significant. 2) The mean scores of knowledge and attitude on weight gain and the mean of weight after the experiment of the experimental group students were significantly higher than control group students at .05 levels
