Nerng Fon You Lam Phloen

Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the dance style of the Morlam Plearn heroine Sao Noi Phet Ban Phaeng troupe Bua Rim Bueng Rung Lam Plearn troupe and the Morlam Phet Lam Plearn Ban Phaeng troupe Paeng Sub-district Kosum Phisai district Maha Sarakham province and 2. to create a dance composition Neng Fon Yon Lam Plearn. This is a qualitative research The research instruments are interviews, surveys and observations There are 7 target groups selected through purposive selection. The data collected from documents and research instruments are analyzed content analysis. The research results found that 1) Morlam is a folk performing art that originated from the Northeastern region of Thailand. Morlam originated from telling folk tales and singing local poetry of the Northeastern people. The word “Morlam” comes from the word “Mor” which means an expert, and “Lam” means describing stories with melodious melodies. Therefore Morlam means a person who is an expert in describing stories through musical melodies. Morlam is divided into 5 types: Morlam Phi Fa, Morlam Phuen, Morlam Klon, Morlam Sing and Morlam Mu Lam Phloen and 2) The dance composition “Neung Fon Yon Lam Phloen” consists of 2.1) the presentation of the performance format 2.2) the costume format 2.3) the row formation format 2.4) the dance choreography design and 2.5) the make-up format.
