Development of Teacher Competence Classroom Research of Teachers at Nong Waeng Muang School Kalasin Primary Education Service Area Office 2

Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to develop teachers' knowledge and understanding of classroom action research 2. to enhance teachers' competencies in conducting classroom action research and 3. to investigate teachers' satisfaction with the competency development process. This is a mixed-methods study combining qualitative and quantitative research. The research instruments consisted of a test, a structured interview form, a recording form, an evaluation form and a satisfaction questionnaire. The target group comprised 5 teachers from Nong Waeng Muang School, under the Kalasin Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, who participated voluntarily, along with 2 key informants. Data collected from the questionnaire, test and evaluation form were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentage, mean and standard deviation, while data collected from the interviews and recording forms were analyzed using content analysis. The findings revealed that 1) the teachers' knowledge and understanding of classroom action research after the development were significantly higher than before the development with the post-workshop mean score increasing by 41% compared to the pre-workshop mean score. 2) the overall classroom action research competencies of the teachers at Nong Waeng Muang School were at a high level (x̅= 4.30) and 3) the teachers' satisfaction with the development process was at the high level (x̅= 4.30).
