The Patterns and Processes of Internal Organizational Communication That Affect The Effectiveness of Work in Private Companies in Pathum Thani Province

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the level of opinions regarding the patterns and processes of internal organizational communication and their effectiveness in work and 2. to study the patterns and processes of internal organizational communication that affect the effectiveness of work in private sector organizations in Pathum Thani Province. This is a quantitative research study using questionnaires as the research instrument. The sample group consisted of 400 personnel from private companies in Pathum Thani Province, selected using Taro Yamane's (1973) formula for group size calculation at a 0.05 margin of error. Convenience sampling was used. The collected data from the questionnaires were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including the mean and standard deviation and multiple regression analysis. The research results, according to the objectives, showed that 1) The overall level of opinions regarding internal communication patterns among private companies in Pathum Thani Province was high (x̅ = 3.88, S.D. = 0.705). When considered by individual dimensions, downward communication was rated at a high level (x̅ = 4.21, S.D. = 0.625), followed by upward communication (x̅ = 4.05, S.D. = 0.731) and diagonal communication, which was also rated at a high level (x̅ = 3.97, S.D. = 0.743). In contrast, horizontal communication had a mean score at a moderate level (x̅ = 3.28, S.D. = 0.713) and 2) The patterns and processes of internal organizational communication had a combined influence on the work performance of private companies in Pathum Thani Province, explaining 69% of the variance (R² = 0.69). Organizations should prioritize developing clear and systematic communication systems between management and employees. This ensures that personnel accurately understand organizational policies, goals and operational guidelines, thereby reducing discrepancies and increasing overall operational efficiency. Furthermore, organizations should promote two-way communication, allowing employees to express opinions, suggestions or problems encountered in their work to management appropriately. This information can then be used to improve management processes and develop the organization further, leading to greater efficiency and effectiveness.
