A Study on the Satisfaction of Fourth-Year Students and Instructors Toward the Bachelor of Arts Program in Chinese (2021 Curriculum) Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences Udon Thani Rajabhat University

Abstract

This research consists purposes were 1. to study the satisfaction and opinions of fourth-year students toward the Bachelor of Arts Program in Chinese (Revised Curriculum B.E. 2021) and 2. to study the satisfaction and opinions of program lecturers and instructors toward the Bachelor of Arts Program in Chinese (Revised Curriculum B.E. 2021). This study employed a survey research design. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The target groups consisted of fourth-year students, program lecturers and instructors in the Chinese Program, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Udon Thani Rajabhat University, selected through purposive sampling. The data collected from the questionnaires were analyzed using the Jamovi statistical software package by applying descriptive statistics, including mean and standard deviation. The findings revealed that 1) the fourth-year students had a high level of satisfaction toward the curriculum, with an overall mean score in all aspects (x̅ = 4.42, S.D. = 0.70) and 2) the instructors and program lecturers had a high level of satisfaction toward the curriculum, with an overall mean score in all aspects (x̅ = 4.04, S.D. = 0.73). The results reflect that the Bachelor of Arts Program in Chinese (Curriculum B.E. 2021) Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Udon Thani Rajabhat University, had an overall quality at a satisfactory level from both students’ and instructors’ perspectives. The findings can be used as empirical evidence to develop the curriculum to be modern and sustainably aligned with the context of higher education.
